The problem valve is his tricuspid valve, which is the first valve that blood goes through as it comes into the heart. They're hoping that reducing blood pressure in his lungs will reduce blood pressure in other chambers of his heart, thus allowing more blood to flow through his heart, rather than flowing backwards back out of the tricuspid. As that improves, so too should the function of that valve.

They're planning on doing another echocardiogram either this weekend or early next week, so unfortunately, it'll be a while before we get to take him home. But, things are looking up.
