I'm typing this from Mercy Hospital in Des Moines using my iPod Touch (definetly a first!). Anna's progressing nicely, so I hope to announce my daughter's birth later today. Hopefully I'll get better at typing with this damn thing at some point. Until later...

The Latest
They've given Anna Pitocin to help move things along. That said, she's dialated to 5cm and has been having contractions every 3 minutes or so. Even with all this excitement, we're both having trouble not dozing off here and there. The contractions started around 1:30 this morning, so it's already been a long day.

Another Update
At last check, Anna was at 7cm, with the contractions getting closer together and more powerful. She accepted the IV drugs, but still won't do an epidural (she did the same with each of the boys). I married an incredible woman.
Anna and I are now sitting in our very nice recovery room at Mercy Medical Center, alone with our new baby girl. The apparent last visitors have left, leaving an odd peace and quiet behind. It's really quite nice.
Katelyn has already proven to be a bit of a pistol, basically refusing to wake up to eat. She has an amusingly stern facial expression when sleeping. Not surprisingly, I'm pretty smitten with my new daughter.
On a very unrelated note, I've become quite a bit more comfortable typing with the iPod Touch. That said, I fully plan on heading home tomorrow to get some pictures added to the site. I'm so tired right now that I have sincere doubts that it'll happen. Sorry for leaving you hanging.
