My 94 year-old great-grandfather died last Wednesday. I learned quite a lot about him this past weekend, not only at his funeral, but at our annual Thanksgiving get-together afterwards. My heart absolutely aches for my great-grandmother who, thankfully, was doing more laughing than crying, but would break down into tears every now and then, understandably so. She revealed to my dad and I that grandpa told her he wasn't going to make it to Thanksgiving; he was right. She said at one point, "I took care of him as best as I could." After 72 years of marriage, I'd say that's the least she did. I'm not a religious person, but I am definitely blessed to have such an extended family. On a much lighter note, Anna and I continue to discuss baby names. We've decided to use my paternal grandfather's first name as the middle name if it's a boy, or Anna's maternal grandmother's first name as the middle name if it's a girl. Follow that? If it's a boy, the middle name will be Charles. If it's a girl, the middle name will be Arlena. William and Jillian (yes, Will and Jill) are the current leaders, but we obviously have plenty of time to narrow it down. It'll likely change a few times before we have to decide on one that counts. I'm fully aware how far behind on pictures I am and have started to correct that. I've taken about 400 pictures since August 12th, so I've got a few to sort through, clean-up, and upload. It's a rather tedious process that I wish I had more time for. I'm hoping to have stuff done this week, so check back. Lastly, and least-importantly, I stumbled upon a website that allows me to create these little flash videos of saved films in my Halo 3 File Share. Unfortunately, they're currently not accepting any more requests due to being overwhelmed and claim they're upgrading. I wouldn't be surprised if they completely fold, but I did get one on through before the shut themselves down for maintenance:
