It has become clear that this worthless pile of pureed monkey and gerbil shit will probably be reelected president, despite starting the quagmire in Iraq, despite losing the most jobs since the great depression, despite presiding over the worst attack on American soil in history after being on vacation for all of August 2001, despite utterly wasting a golden opportunity of unity after 9/11, and despite setting record deficits two years in a row.
I'm in shock. I really, genuinely cannot understand or even remotely fathom supporting this man. The thought of him as president when my youngest celebrates his fifth birthday makes me nauseous.
I sincerely hope something extraordinary happens overnight, but I doubt it.
Fuck you all that voted for that pile of shit. Fuck you all to hell.

Surprising Calm
I'm surprised. After hearing that John Kerry had conceded the election, I found that I instantly calmed down a great deal. I am still by no means happy, but I'm not at a fever pitch like I was in the wee hours of this morning.
I sincerely hope that we are able to rally behind the president, that he makes it possible to do that. I strongly disagree with some of his statements, positions and ideals, but I hope that he makes an attempt to include Democrats in something, unlike his first term in office. Maybe bring in a couple into his cabinet...
I'm also fairly offended by the talking heads saying that young voters continue to disappoint, basically saying that anyone under 30 years old is a slacker. Bite me. My wife and I waited in line for nearly an hour to vote with two kids under three years old in tow. Slack that!
I'm also surprised that so many states (11, from what I heard) basically said that their states' constitutions should be altered to only recognize marriages between one man and one woman. I guess that makes me quite the liberal on this subject, huh? I don't think gay marriage is a good thing, but I don't think we should expend effort to outlaw it; there are far larger fish to fry.
