| Wayne was leading a tour group from Dresden, Germany on a trip from Columbus to Gatlinburg and back. Out of 53 men in the tour group, only a few spoke English. It made for interesting times at places like Dollywood. On the way back to Columbus, Wayne had arranged for the group to stop at a Hooters Restaurant. One of the group members asked Wayne, "What are these hooters?" Wayne stumbled over his tongue for a bit, then finally thrust his arms out and made a "cupping" motion in front of his chest. The tour member didn't get it. He didn't understand. The others were waiting to find out what Hooters were. Inspiration struck. Wayne stuck his arms out almost the entire length of his arms and said, "Dolly Parton!" They got it. |
