Won't be needing that anymore. That's a color version of my business card here at IoWeb. Today's my last day here and I really have mixed feelings about it. I thoroughly enjoy the work, but I can't continue to get paid half (or less) than what I COULD be making somewhere else with my skills. On top of that, I need some concrete benefits. These are all simply things that IoWeb can't provide. So, off to Ingram I go. I'm still not 100% sure of what I will be doing, but I am pretty sure it won't be anything even in the same neighborhood of what I'm doing now, other than the fact they're both desk jobs. I should be thrilled, though. I'll be making more money, my hours are concrete...from the sounds of it, I will have very few (if any) "deadlines" to get things done. However, I won't know what to expect before I get there; I won't be able to plan ahead before I get to work. That might bug me. Point is that most people are thrilled on their last day (unless their being fired). I'm not. I'm pretty mixed about it and probably will be for a while. |
