July 9 was National Blonde Day. Their mission is to "destroy blonde stereotypes and publicize blonde accomplishments ... and to ultimately make sure hair color isn't a factor in work or social environments." Now, to quote Dave Barry, I'm NOT making this up: The thing was sponsored by Vidal Sassoon. To celebrate the day, they were going to be giving "blonde transformations" in ten cities for free.

Now, here's a couple of other things. On the website, they talk about "joining the movement" and then they give the URL to click for more information. When you click on that URL it takes you ... right to the top of very page you're on.

Kind of makes sense that the "motto" of the page is: "Be True To Your Roots."
